My husband and I had a delicious dinner at Duo Bistro last night. Now that they have their wine and beer permit, I was able to enjoy my Duo Bistro dinner with a glass of white wine. To start I had the veggie appetizer (sauteed root vegetables), and Tom had the appetizer special–chicken wings with mollasses. The wings had a sweet decadent taste to them. For my main entree I had the seafood special, a full carved out lobster with a rissoto cake filled with clams, mussels, served with sauteed string beans and fried spinach. For dessert, we shared the ginger creme brulee. No surprise, it was yummy from start to finish!
We started talking to a first time Duo dinner customer who was eating by himself at the bar, who wouldn't stop telling Chef Niels Nielson how good his dinner was. "I just went on an exploratory mission in Kingston tonight, and ended up here!" He said, he'd definitely come back. Duo Bistro will be having a small gala on Wednesday, October 17th starting at 6pm and ending at 9pm or later to celebrate 6 month anniversary and new dinner menu.
