If you are looking for an alternative to the beaches of Long Island or the Jersey shore this weekend or any other Summer weekend, come check out the laid back beach scene of the Hudson Valley. We may not get all the celebs that the Hamptons get, but we've got mountains! My favorite Hudson Valley beach is Belleayre Beach at Pine Hill Lake.
http://www.belleayre.com/summer/lake.htm. It has a very low atmosphere and small playground too.
