The 13th Woodstock Film Festival is almost here! I can't believe this will be my 10th year attending the Woodstock Film Festival. How can that be? The first time I went to the WFF I was new to Woodstock. I didn't know anybody except a nice mom named Jane I had met at Bread Alone. I thought volunteering at the WFF would be fun, and it was! You get a nice staff T-shirt, get to watch movies for free, and meet interesting people.
I will always remember working the box office table at Bearsville Theater one afternoon, and stopping a harried tall bearded man in his tracks, as he wooshed by me. "Excuse me! Do you have a ticket, sir?" I asked, giving him a suspicious look. It was Laurent Retjo, co-founder of the Woodstock Film Festival. Oops!
This year the Woodstock Film Festival will host 19 world premiers, including Dear Governor Cuomo, Dinner at the No-Go's, Idle Threat (see trailer below) and 2nd Serve. If you are in the Hudson Valley this week, don't miss the Woodstock Film Festival. Besides films, there are parties, panels, amazing concerts, and a contagious creative vibe. Which films are on your must-see list this week? See you at the Woodstock Film Festival
