Pure Mountain Olive Oil at 23 East Market Street in Rhinebeck opened about a month ago, and owner Zak Cassady-Dorion is happy with the response so far. He looked at over 100 towns in the United States over the years in order to find the right community to open up this type of specialty store. He says that Rhinebeck has all the right ingredients as it's a community that loves food and cares about farming.
If you love olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and sea salt as much as I do, you will have a hard time leaving Pure Mountain Olive Oil. I tasted about 6 different oils and vinegars while I was there, and although I didn't have enough time last Sunday night to focus on which bottle to take home with me, I will definitely be coming back for more fresh Olive Oil.
