River Rock Health Spa
Happiness is finally cashing in on the spa gift certificate you got for Christmas! I planned this day of indulgence over a month ago, and this morning I was very excited about spending the morning at River Rock Health Spa. The gift certificate was good for 1 hour of Restorative Yoga & 1 hour aromatherapy massage. I go here about once a year for a massage. The Restorative Yoga was interesting. Although I'm more of an "accidental yogi" practicing sporadically throughout the year,
I'm very new to Restorative Yoga. Gillian Cilibrasi, licensed massage therapist and Restorative Yoga Teacher knows how how to put a timid student at ease. With the help of a bevy of props-a bolster, blocks, towels, blankets--I was really able to relax and go to my "happy" place for the entire hour which went by way too fast. I was ready for my massage at the end of the lesson. After a cup of hot green tea, it was time for my massage which was equally blissful.
